These instructions apply to the WhosYum app (developer: WhosYum) as shown on our Google Play store listing.

How to request account deletion

1. In the app: Open the app → go to Settings → tap Delete Account and follow the prompts.
2. Or by email: Send an email to privacy@whosyum.app from the email address associated with your account with the subject “Account Deletion Request.” We may request additional verification to protect your account.

What data is deleted

• Profile data (name, age, gender, bio, location, interests)
• Account data (email, preferences)
• Photos you uploaded
• Matches, likes, dislikes, and blocks
• Messages you sent and received (subject to retention below)

What may be retained and why

• Security/abuse data (e.g., fraud or abuse signals) may be retained for up to 180 days to protect users and the platform.
• Legal compliance data may be retained where required by law (e.g., records of consent or law-enforcement requests).
• Backups: Deleted data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days and is automatically purged on the normal backup cycle.

Timing

We begin processing deletions promptly after verification. Most deletions complete within 30 days. Backup and legal retention periods are described above.

Reactivation

Deletion is permanent. After deletion is completed, your account and content cannot be restored.
